Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of an individual working as a senior civil works designer
or a para-professional designer, who supports professional engineers. They perform tasks that
are broad, specialised, complex and technical and include strategic areas and initiating
activities. They are responsible for the design of complex projects to ensure the
implementation of the client’s site requirements and are required to demonstrate self-directed
application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical
problems or management requirements.

Entry Requirements

Stamford College has the following entry requirements:

Age Requirements

•All students must of the age of 18 years or over at the time of
applying for admission.

English Requirement

•Entry into this course requires IELTS band score of 6 or equivalent in line with regulations
OR
•Successful completion of a qualification from an Institute where mode of instructions was
English and where the course duration was no less than 6 months OR
•Completion of an approved English Language course. OR
•Successful completion of an English Placement Test
Academic requirements
• Satisfactory completion of studies in applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian
Year 12 qualification OR
• Successful completion of a qualification from an Institute where mode of instructions was
English and where the course duration was no less than 12 months.

Course Details

Delivery mode  This program is delivered in the classroom and through mandatory structured
self-study.

Duration 60 weeks, including 50 study weeks and 10 weeks of holidays.
104 weeks, including 80 study weeks and 24 weeks of holidays.
